The Senior Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining the Bank’s network infrastructure, which includes the phone systems, call managers, and VPN. You will participant in disaster scenarios in order to analyze recovery methods and look for improvements. You will maintain the Banks day to day network requirements including physical equipment installation and removal, performing upgrades; monitoring network performance, and protection of the Banks network access. Collaborate with the Information Security Officer in the overall administration of these directives for the Bank. Ensuring the Bank's network technology activities are secure and stable at all times. Assists in developing and implementing network technology architecture strategies to accommodate current and future organizational needs.
Strategy & Planning
- Proven experience and success with enterprise-level engineering design of LANs, WANs, and SD-WANs
- Proven ability to design, deploy, maintain and document all connections for firewalls, routers, switches, UPSs and network to all servers
- Ensure network proper connectivity of all servers, workstations, telephony equipment, and any other networked appliance.
- Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices
- Document the architecture, design, and layout, including protocols and standards used, as well as configuration.
- Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, procedures for network administration, usage, and disaster recovery
- Maintain network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation.
- Support Cisco VoIP infrastructure and its associated software, including call management systems, voicemail, contact center, and interactive voice response.
- Update, and effectively manage call manager suite for reporting and routing of IP telephony traffic on the network
Operational Management
- Assist with the design and deployment of company LANs, WANs, and SD-WANs, including connectivity to servers, routers, switches, UPSs and other hardware.
- Responsible for submitting change control requests and receiving approvals prior to any changes on the network
- Conduct scheduled testing and improve on the disaster recovery plans
- Perform hardware, and software upgrades relating to network or telephony
- Plan and implement any improvements, modifications, or replacements of network infrastructure
- Where necessary, liaise with equipment vendors during installations and hardware performance issues.
- Receive, prioritize, and respond to incoming work orders, calls, and/or emails regarding equipment and/or connectivity problems.
- Processes, and troubleshoots complex network problems or inquiries, including any on-site analysis, diagnosis and resolutions
- Evaluates network performance issues, including that with availability, utilization, and latency.
- Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; and escalating problems to the vendor when necessary.
- Secures the network by developing network access, monitoring, control and evaluation.
- Upgrades network by conferring with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancement and patches.
- Responsible for coordinating, supervising and managing all network cabling and wiring requests for all facilities.
- Experience with structured cable installation and troubleshooting including copper and fiber optic cabling, and wiring diagrams, site buildouts including rack construction, ladder rack installation, and wire management
- When necessary carries out remote hands tasks required to support networks, IT infrastructure, computers, and electronics
- Ability to go up and down 6'-14' ladders, Ability to work under raised floor
- Experience with Rack and Stack installations, Experience with cable dressing
- Performs periodic scheduled audits to validate all serial numbers, locations, licenses, and support agreements.
- Performs periodic network configuration reviews and makes approved adjustments as necessary.
- Assures all network devices have configuration backups available.
- Participate in scheduled network failover and disaster recovery testing events.
- Establish and maintain regular written communications with administration regarding pertinent network activities.
- Configure all networks to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling organizational objectives and processes.
- May answer telephones, answer questions and direct callers to proper Bank personnel
- Provide guidance to junior team members.
About You:

- Bachelor’s degree in a Technology related discipline
- Minimum 5 years’ experience, knowledge and training in progressively responsible information technology network and security department operations and supervisory activities.
- Network Certifications (CCNA, CCNP, NSE-1,NSE-2,NSE-3) The ability to obtain one or more of these certifications within the first full year of being hired is expected.
- Cisco call manager support and configuration preferred.
- Knowledge of technology related state and federal banking compliance regulations.
- Working knowledge of Bank operations preferred.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Intermediate typing skills to meet production needs of the position.
- Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others, train personnel, read, analyze and interpret documents and professional journals, understand procedures, write reports, correspondence and procedures, speak clearly to customers and employees.
