We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Microservices Engineer to support a major Core Banking migration programme within Financial Services.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and enhance Java-based microservices as part of a large-scale Core Banking migration programme.
- Support the migration of existing banking services and applications to a modern microservices architecture, ensuring reliability and maintainability throughout the transition.
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture and delivery teams to integrate services, troubleshoot technical issues and support delivery across the 8-to-10-month migration project.
Skills Required
- Strong hands-on Java development experience, ideally including Spring Boot and RESTful microservices.
- Proven experience designing, developing and integrating microservices within complex enterprise environments.
- Experience with application or platform migrations, with previous Core Banking or broader Financial Services technology experience highly relevant.
Education & Work Experience
- Relevant degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of relevant software engineering experience, with significant hands-on Java and microservices development experience.
