Our client, a growing organization in North Houston has engaged Lucas Group to identify a Senior SEC Reporting Accountant. This is a highly visible role in the organization that will be groomed to become the Manager of the group. The ideal candidate will have solid experience with external reporting and a background in Big 4.
Some responsibilities include:
- Assist with SEC reporting (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) and XBRL compliance
- Prepare and maintain all supporting documentation and back-up for SEC Filings
- Assist with technical accounting research including implementation of new accounting guidance
- Assist with standalone financials and accounting policies
- Assist with accounting for stock compensation and pension expense
- Assist with quarterly reviews and annual audit
Experience requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Related Field
- CPA or actively pursuing
- 4+ years of relevant experience
- Big 4 Public Accounting is highly desirable
