Senior Finance Manager

 

The Senior Finance Manager is accountable for the accounting and financing functions and for planning and implementing financial and risk management of the company as well as oversight over outsourced Human Resources & IT functions. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting policies, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. The Senior Finance Manager supervises the accounting and administrative team and is responsible for ensuring that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities.

 

Senior Finance Manager Responsibilities Include:

 

  • Oversee, direct and monitor all accounting department activities. Work closely with the General Manager to maintain smooth operation of accounting and administrative departments.
  • Provide financial information to executives timely and accurately. Provide Consolidated Financial reporting to Corporate HQ monthly.
  • Manage any third parties to which any functions are outsourced.
  • Manage, prepare and monitor the budget and forecast in accordance with annual strategic operating plans.
  • Manage cash flow planning and day to day cash requirements.
  • Monitor and authorize bank accounts for payments.
  • Negotiate and arrange the funding requirement with financial institutions.
  • Monitor all tax related compliance matters.
  • Monitor credit risks with customers and suppliers.
  • Oversee external & internal audit process.
  • Manage, motivate, train, recruit and select financial personnel.
  • Support in selecting and implementing the accounting software.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bilingual English / Spanish.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required, CPA preferred. 
  • 7+ years’ experience in Accounting & Finance functions with at least some manufacturing industry experience (standard cost knowledge a big preference).
  • 2+ years’ supervisory experience.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience of U.S. GAAP financial reporting and internal control over financial reporting.
  • Advanced knowledge and experiences of Federal, State and Local tax laws and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skill to work together with other department managers to manage accounting and financial matters
