Senior ERP Consultant - Material Resources Planning (MRP)

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented ERP Specialist/Consultant with expertise in CostPoint or other major ERP systems (SAP, Dynamics, etc.). This role involves managing and optimizing the Materials Resource Planning (MRP) process across the procurement, ordering, and shipping functions. The ideal candidate will also possess a strong background in manufacturing environments, with the ability to set up best practices, streamline processes, and train teams within the ERP system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the Materials Resource Planning (MRP) process from procurement to ordering, shipping, and delivery, ensuring that all processes are optimized and efficient.
• Implement, configure, and maintain ERP systems (CostPoint, SAP, Dynamics, etc.) to meet the needs of the organization’s manufacturing and supply chain operations.
• Develop, document, and promote best practices for ERP usage and MRP processes.
• Provide hands-on training to team members on ERP system functionalities and processes, ensuring a deep understanding of workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, inventory management, production, and logistics, to ensure smooth data flow within the ERP system.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement within the ERP system and recommend enhancements to streamline operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve ERP-related issues related to MRP, inventory, and manufacturing workflows.
• Assist in the integration of new modules or updates into the ERP system to meet evolving business needs.
• Maintain data integrity within the ERP system by performing regular audits and ensuring accuracy.
• Provide technical support to end-users and serve as a liaison between IT and operational teams.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience working with ERP systems, specifically CostPoint, SAP, Dynamics, or other major ERP platforms.
• Strong knowledge of the Materials Resource Planning (MRP) process, including procurement, ordering, inventory management, and shipping.
• Experience in a manufacturing or facility-based environment, with the ability to interact directly with the shop floor team and operational personnel.
• Ability to set up, configure, and optimize ERP processes, as well as develop and implement training programs for users.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot ERP-related issues.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to train and collaborate with a diverse team.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to drive results.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
