Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Data Product Manager with deep expertise in Specialty Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance to lead strategic data initiatives across a high-growth Specialty division. This role will focus on delivering high-impact projects including data consolidation, optimization, and AI enablement, while serving as a critical bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders.
You’ll take ownership of the Specialty line of business and play a key role in aligning data product strategy with enterprise goals. This is a high-visibility role with the potential to convert to full-time and grow into broader leadership responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the data product strategy and execution for the Specialty P&C Insurance line.
- Drive initiatives around data consolidation, optimization, and AI/ML integration.
- Act as the primary liaison between technical teams (data engineering, analytics, AI) and business stakeholders.
- Own the product roadmap, backlog, and delivery timelines for data initiatives.
- Ensure alignment across business lines and technical teams, fostering collaboration and transparency.
- Take over current responsibilities at Starwind, enabling leadership to focus on broader initiatives.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Senior-level Product Owner/Manager experience with a strong focus on data initiatives in Specialty P&C Insurance.
- Proven ability to communicate and present effectively to business stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Hands-on experience working with Agile teams and managing product backlogs.
- Self-starter mindset – thrives in ambiguity, proactively identifies solutions, and builds partnerships without needing detailed direction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AI/ML-driven data products in insurance or financial services.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance considerations in insurance data.
- Prior experience in contract-to-hire or transitional leadership roles.
