Senior Cost Accountant (Closed)

Our client, a well-oiled manufacturing organization in Northwest Houston, seeks a Senior Cost Accountant with standard cost experience. This organization is growing, and they expect that growth opportunity will exist for those they hire. Additionally, they have 20 employees in their current Accounting & Finance group with very low turnover.

Responsibilities Include:

• Analyze cost differences
• Prepare estimates of new & proposed product costs
• Execute month end close activities related to cost accounting
• Prepare various financial analysis related to manufacturing costs, inventory, and expense information as needed
• Recommend cost efficiencies in new product layouts
• Assure compliance with all SOX controls
• Analyze production costs and prepare reports comparing standard costs to actual cost

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, required.
• 5 years of accounting experience, required
• 2+ years standard cost experience
• ERP experience, required
• SAP and HRM experience a plus
