The Lucas Group is searching for an experienced, talented, and enthusiastic Senior Communications & Marketing Manager to add as a key member of our client’s team in Atlanta. Our client is a specialty insurer on a global level who is far removed from the world of mass market insurance products. The Senior Communications & Marketing Manager will help tell our client’s story and give people a greater understanding of the client's purpose, mission and value. Reporting to the Head of Communications, you will help to drive awareness for products, services and research through corporate marketing, public relations, media relations and digital and social media. The Senior Communications & Marketing Manager will establish strong partnerships with the marketing team, working closely with senior leaders and subject matter experts across the organization.

RESPONSIBILITES 

  • Develop quarterly plans to promote key products and thought leadership reports. 
  • Identify and craft newsworthy stories to secure media coverage and start conversations on social media channels. 
  • Manage and coordinate, both proactive and reactive, press opportunities; provide media relations counsel to Company SMEs. 
  • Manage activity and engagement across owned digital and social media channels (internal and external). 
  • Work closely with Content team on the development and production of research reports, bylines, infographics, and social media assets. 
  • Co-develop and manage internal communication plan designed to inform, engage, and inspire employees across the US business. 
  • Manage the corporate marketing and communications activation calendar (new product releases, research reports, bylines, white papers, internal activities, etc.) 
  • Monitor, measure, and track effectiveness of communications programs on a regular basis. 

REQUIREMENTS 

  • BA/BS in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Marketing or a related field is required 
  • 5+ years of experience and expertise in marketing, media relations, internal and change communications and social media (corporate/in house or agency experience) 
  • Outstanding writing and editing skills; strong verbal communication skills 
  • Basic knowledge of vendor budgeting, selection, evaluation, and management practices. 
  • Ability to prioritize workload and project manage 
  • Ability to communicate and interact across all position levels, including senior management 
  • Self-motivating and collaborative working style
