Senior Commercial Real Estate Lease Analyst / Abstractor (Contract)

The Senior Commercial Real Estate Lease Analyst will be responsible for a full scope of Lease Administration services including: abstracting and interpreting commercial lease documents (leases, amendments, subleases).  This position is on a long-term contract rolling basis.  If you are not working and can start next week please email your resume to Ellen Lee at elee@lucasgroup.com for immediate consideration.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Abstract commercial and retail real estate leases into databases
• Summarize data
• Recognize and abstract dates, lease option types, rent, lease clauses, etc.
• Create training materials for abstracting projects
• Conduct training and lead team on projects
• Data entry and data management of lease documents
• Tracking and maintaining critical dates
• Reviewing annual landlord reconciliation statements and real estate tax calculations to ensure accuracy and lease compliance
• Respond to Lease Analyst questions with regard to procedures, lease interpretation, and billing calculations
• Ability to interpret complex commercial lease language

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Attorney’s preferred

Bachelor’s degree

5 years of work experience in Lease Administration, Real Estate Accounting, or Property Management with exposure to commercial leases

Prior experience with using a lease administration database, preferred

Must be able to work on a contract basis
