Job Duties:

• Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts

• Routine communication with Supervisor relating to financial close, issues, and deliverables

• Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data • Assist in tie out of 1099’s received to income statements annually

• Assist in the delivery of balance sheet and income statements to the tax preparers annually

• Assist in the journal entry preparation of K-1’s received annually

• Reviews the preparation of monthly financial reporting package by the Staff Accountants which includes reconciling balance sheet accounts, analyzing expense accounts, and inter-company reconciliation.

• Special projects as directed by the CFO and other Management team members

• Formats and creates reports and other documents

• Performs as back-up for submitting wire and transfer request to banking team

• Reviews the work product, provides feedback, and mentors Staff Accountants

• Performs as back-up for the preparation of the weekly check run

• Works with the Financial Analyst to learn the finance software, Addepar

• Will be primary back-up to the Financial Analyst for all financial reporting out of Addepar

• Crosstrain with staff on recording electronic payments, recording deposits, recording journal entries, and reconciling bank statements in accounting system.

• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential

 

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree required in Accounting

• Reporting Skills, Deadline-Oriented, Time Management

• Attention to Detail, Confidentiality

• PC Proficiency, Productivity, Verbal Communication

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (particularly Excel)

• Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders

• Strong work ethic and demonstrable success in meeting internal and external deadlines, and managing multiple changing priorities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Commitment to diversity and inclusiveness

• Preferred bi-lingual in Spanish and English

• Current Colorado Notary or ability and willingness to become a notary
