Lucas Group has been engaged by a Professional Services company looking for a Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager to join their organization on a contract to hire basis. The ideal company will have strong knowledge within the General Ledger and ability to do reconciliations at a fast pace.
Responsibilities:
- Book journal entries and ensure reconciliations are done on a monthly basis
- Support and lead the month-end and year-end close process
- Research transactions and unbalanced accounts, and adjust as necessary
- Support with the yearly audit
- Help with clean-up work
- Facilitate the financial statement preparation
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 5+ years of experience in Accounting with strong focus on reconciliations and General Ledger accounting
- Experience with Great Plains
Preferred:
- CPA
- Public Accounting background
