Our client, a privately held trading logistics and oil and gas company located in Houston is looking to bring on an experienced Senior Accountant to their team. This newly created position is open due to tremendous growth.
Compensation: $70K
This position will entertain a competitive range of compensation including base salary and competitive benefits.
Some responsibilities include…
- Analyze financial statements to assist with the credit risk management, ad hoc presentation preparation
- Ensure income tax reporting meets requirements at the federal, state, and international level. Including deferred taxes and transfer pricing
- Full cycle accounting, including but not limited to: AP, AR, GL, Bank Reconciliations, Financial Statement Preparation, Journal Entries, and Month-End Close
- Backup for the treasury role when needed
Experience Requirements:
- BS/BA in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience with an accounting firm or in physical commodity trading
- Working knowledge of GAAP and IFRS
- Experience with operation and implementation of Aspect Enterprise ETRM and GAAS is preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook and ability to design custom reports as necessary
