We have been engaged by a $100M manufacturing company in Newnan looking to bring on a Senior Accountant. This is a newly created role due to growth. The ideal candidate will have a go getter personality, and be able to work collaboratively with other members of the company.
Essential Functions:
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general accounts, documenting business transactions and journal entries.
- Calculate figures and amounts such as state and federal withholdings, depreciation schedules, real estate tax, sales and use tax, discounts, and interest.
- Responsible for analyzing financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepare balance sheets.
- Update FAS for monthly Fixed Asset additions/transfers/disposals/adjustments, calculate and post depreciation.
- Review, investigate, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
- Monitor compliance with GAAP and company procedures.
- Install, modify, document, and coordinate implementation of accounting systems and accounting control procedures.
- Assist with month-end close, preparation of quarterly and annual reporting packages.
- Analyze financial data, regarding the accounting reserves, assets, and expenditures.
- Coordinate preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Controller.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 3 – 4 years of Accounting experience at a Staff or Senior Accountant level.
- Extensive Analytical experience
- Self-motivated
- Attention to detail
- Excellent organizational, collaborative and time management skills
