Position: Security Analyst
About Us:
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-centric Security Analyst to join our rapidly expanding Information Security team. As a Security Analyst, you will collaborate directly with our internal teams to ensure the overarching security, visibility, and compliance requirements are maintained and enforced. You will assess the existing technical infrastructure and systems, pinpoint opportunities for enhancement, all while upholding standard operating procedures and protocols to ensure the continued efficiency of our Security Operations. We are specifically looking for an individual with 4-6 years of experience in the security field who is eager to further their professional growth. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in streamlining organizational processes and aiding in documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Striking a balance between delivering technical security assurance and enabling development and operations teams to maintain agility.
- Conducting vulnerability assessments in both cloud and on-premises environments, analyzing vulnerabilities, determining their severity, and proposing strategies to eliminate or mitigate security weaknesses.
- Managing the triage, investigation, and response to potential security incidents, with an on-call support commitment when necessary.
- Collaborating with Engineering and IT teams to ensure programmatically-deployed infrastructure aligns with our security principles.
- Deploying appropriate security controls in our cloud environments to address data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
- Contributing to the development of automation solutions for in-house network, service, and endpoint security testing.
- Assisting in identifying and evaluating security gaps, translating them into functional specifications for implementation.
- Fulfilling cybersecurity-related responsibilities as assigned to support specialized activities.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the security threat landscape.
- Conducting research and staying informed about emerging technologies and trends in the security domain.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Cyber Security, or a related field of study.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the security field.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and outstanding problem-solving abilities.
- Profound familiarity with incident response processes and procedures, both in traditional and cloud environments.
- Experience with vulnerability management tools such as Qualys, Tenable, or similar tools for scanning, managing, and prioritizing vulnerabilities.
- Familiarity with Crowdstrike is highly advantageous.
- Professional demeanor, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
- Knowledge of security and risk management practices, as well as security frameworks such as FFIEC, NIST, ISO, CIS Benchmarks, and SOC2.
- Experience with Terraform and CloudFormation is considered a plus.
