We have partnered with our client in their search for a SEC Reporting Manager hybrid in NYC.
Overview
A public company is seeking an experienced SEC Reporting Manager to lead the preparation, review, and timely filing of all external financial reporting. This role is responsible for ensuring full compliance with SEC regulations and U.S. GAAP, maintaining the accuracy and consistency of all financial disclosures, and partnering closely with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and filing of all SEC documents, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other required disclosures.
- Ensure reporting compliance with all applicable SEC, U.S. GAAP, and internal control standards.
- Coordinate across Accounting, Finance, Legal, and External Audit teams to gather information, validate data, and ensure complete, accurate disclosures.
- Manage the reporting calendar, ensuring all deadlines are met and filings are submitted timely.
- Review financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, and supporting schedules for accuracy and alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor changes in accounting and reporting standards and assess their impact on external reporting.
- Support quarterly and annual audits, responding to auditor inquiries and providing appropriate documentation.
- Assist with special projects related to financial reporting, internal controls, and process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of SEC reporting requirements and U.S. GAAP.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in SEC reporting, public accounting, or financial reporting for a public company.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
