Lucas Group has been engaged by a client in NW Houston on a search for a SEC Reporting Analyst. This role will be responsible for accurate and timely SEC reporting, understanding and implementing all changes in GAAP and SEC rules and continued improvement in the preparation of financial statements and SEC reports.
Job responsibilities include:
- Assist with preparing quarterly and annual financial pages of SEC filings
- Prepare monthly elimination and consolidation entries
- Coordinate providing quarterly and annual audit support to external auditors for consolidated and statutory audits
- Assist with analysis of the effects of new accounting pronouncements on the Company
- Ensure compliance with SOX controls related to financial reporting and assist with implementation of new accounting standards
- Work on special projects as needed
Experience requirements:
- BBA Accounting; CPA (or pursuing) and Masters in Accounting preferred
- 3+ years’ experience either in Big 4 public accounting with publicly traded clients or directly handling SEC filings
