We have partnered with our client in their search for a Scrum Master in Jersey City, NJ.
Responsibilities:
- Drive Team-level ways of working to enable the team to work in a more productive & efficient manner
- Work primarily with developers and product analysts
- Formal training on Agile coaching, such as recognized coaching certifications
- Recommended skills include but are not limited to: agile delivery, business acumen, change management, continuous improvement, coaching, internal stakeholder management, strategic thinking, self-study, verbal communication, adaptability, and decision making
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence while guiding your team to successfully implement agile practices across the organization
- Guide and support aligned development teams in adopting and implementing agile practices to achieve organizational goals
- Team Delivery Backlog: Ensure the team always has enough priority work that is refined and ready to work on over the next 2-3 sprints (avoids team building un-defined/under-defined work, leading to rework)
- Additional artifacts: Include Quarterly Planning prep content, quarterly team objectives, Jira board, risk tracking/management, and more
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- 3+ years of Scrum Master experience, preferably working with multiple teams concurrently.
- Scrum Certification
- Experience managing and developing individual contributors
- Possess advanced knowledge of multiple product development lifecycle stages, methodologies, and best practices, enabling effective guidance and support
- Display advanced knowledge of agile delivery and multiple agile approaches, including Scrum, Kanban, monitoring agility metrics; with the ability to guide teams through complex projects, emphasizing iterative progress and adaptability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on team collaboration
