We have partnered with our financial services client in their search for an experienced Scrum Master on an interim basis, to support the creation and growth of high-performing Agile teams by guiding product delivery, coaching team members, and strengthening team dynamics. You will teach Agile principles, facilitate Scrum ceremonies, remove impediments, and promote alignment between the Product Owner and the development team. This role may operate as a Scrum Master, Release Train Engineer (RTE), or both. You will foster continuous improvement and act as both a coach and an advocate for effective Agile practices.

An initial 12 month contract is offered and the role holder will be required to work onsite in Waterford 2 days per week.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
  • Skilled at relationship-building and navigating complex organizations
  • Experience coaching technical teams
  • High-energy, motivational leadership style with strong influencing skills
  • Proficiency with JIRA
  • Ability to create a trusting, collaborative, and productive team environment
  • Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and/or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) preferred
  • Background in software development or delivery
  • Strong understanding of Agile principles and team dynamics

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-performing teams through individual and group coaching
  • Reinforce and ensure the effective use of Agile/Scrum practices
  • Align team activities with the broader goals and vision
  • Provide transparency to business, IT, and operations regarding team progress and Agile processes
  • Balance short- and long-term needs while facilitating alignment between the team and Product Owner
  • Oversee Scrum processes, support release planning, and assist with backlog management
  • Cultivate a culture of learning and adaptability within the team
