Title: SAP Concur Functional Consultant

Compensation: $65-$75/hr.
We have partnered with our client in their search for a SAP Concur Functional Consultant to support Concur implementation and optimization projects for a range of clients, from local deployments to multi-country and global rollouts. This consultant will be responsible for gathering business requirements, documenting and designing client-specific solutions, configuring the Concur platform, supporting testing, assisting with go-live, and providing post-production support as needed.
The ideal candidate is a polished, client-facing Concur professional who can operate with minimal hand-holding, quickly understand client needs and workflows, and translate business requirements into effective Concur configurations. This candidate has strong hands-on experience with Concur Expense and is certified in Concur Expense at minimum. Broader experience across additional SAP Concur modules, such as Concur Travel, Concur Invoice, Concur Request, Reporting, or related Concur solutions, is highly preferred. This role is best suited for a polished, client-facing consultant who can operate independently, quickly understand client needs, and translate business processes into effective Concur configurations.
Responsibilities
- Lead SAP Concur Expense implementation and configuration workstreams for local, multi-country, and global deployments
- Gather business requirements from client stakeholders, including current-state processes, approval workflows, policies, compliance needs, and reporting expectations
- Document business requirements, functional designs, configuration decisions, workflows, test scenarios, and implementation plans
- Configure SAP Concur to support client-specific policies, approval routing, forms, fields, expense types, audit rules, permissions, groups, and business processes
- Advise clients on SAP Concur best practices, configuration options, process improvements, and practical solution design
- Support testing activities, including test planning, defect triage, issue resolution, and user acceptance testing
- Assist with go-live readiness, deployment activities, end-user support, and post-production stabilization
- Partner with internal project teams, solution architects, and client stakeholders to deliver high-quality implementations
Skills Required
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP Concur Expense configuration and implementation
- Active SAP Concur Expense certification
- Working knowledge of expense management processes, approval workflows, policy configuration, audit rules, and user administration
- Ability to translate business requirements into SAP Concur functional designs and platform configuration
- Experience supporting the full implementation lifecycle, including discovery, design, configuration, testing, go-live, and post-production support
- Clear client-facing communication, facilitation, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced consulting environment with limited ramp-up
- Experience working with internal consulting teams, solution architects, and client business stakeholders
- Familiarity with SAP Concur Travel, SAP Concur Invoice, SAP Concur Request, Reporting, or related SAP Concur solutions
- Familiarity with integrations, employee data feeds, corporate card feeds, Enterprise Resource Planning handoffs, Single Sign-On, or downstream processes
Education & Work Experience
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience
- Hands-on experience implementing and configuring SAP Concur, with strong experience in SAP Concur Expense
- Active SAP Concur Expense certification required
- Additional SAP Concur certifications in Travel, Invoice, Request, Reporting, or Solution Architect-level areas preferred
- Prior consulting experience with a SAP Concur systems integrator, SAP partner, or professional services firm preferred
