Title: Salesforce Solution Architect/Consultant

Compensation: $65-$85/hr.
We have partnered with our client in their search for a client-facing Salesforce Solutions Architect/Consultant to support the full consulting lifecycle-from pre-sales and discovery through solution design, delivery oversight, adoption, and value realization. This role partners closely with C-suite sponsors, product owners, and engagement leaders to frame business problems, facilitate workshops, translate needs into cross-cloud architectures and roadmaps, and drive governed execution aligned to quality and risk standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead client discovery and problem-framing sessions; facilitate requirements, prioritization, and journey-mapping workshops.
- Translate insights into epics, user stories, and testable acceptance criteria, ensuring traceability through delivery.
- Create core consulting artifacts including:
- Current/future-state process flows and journey maps
- Operating model and capability views
- Business cases and value-tracking plans
- Build multi-phase roadmaps and release plans, define MVP scope, and establish measurable success metrics.
- Produce effort estimates and integrated delivery plans with assumptions, risks, and dependencies.
- Drive governance and executive communications:
- Design reviews and architecture sign-offs
- Stage gates and decision logs
- Steering committee readouts and executive updates
- Architect pragmatic solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Data Cloud, and Agentforce aligned to enterprise standards.
- Set and enforce configuration vs. code guardrails; lead design trade-off decisions and solution reviews.
- Guide configuration and development teams on best practices, including Flows, OmniStudio, Prompt Builder, and when to extend with Apex/LWC.
- Define and oversee data and integration strategies, partnering with platform and enterprise teams to ensure security, compliance, and audit readiness.
- Shape Data Cloud approaches for unified customer profiles, insights, segmentation, and AI-enabled engagement.
- Partner with integration teams (e.g., MuleSoft, REST/SOAP APIs; HL7/FHIR where applicable) to ensure seamless connectivity to external systems.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, HITRUST, or industry-specific controls as needed).
- Lead change management and adoption planning with enablement teams; design training and communications.
- Track activation, usage, value realization, and CSAT; course-correct to drive sustained adoption.
- Contribute to pre-sales solutioning, proposals/SOW development, and support practice assets and standards.
Skills Required
- Strong client advisory presence with the ability to influence VP/C-suite stakeholders.
- Expert workshop facilitation across discovery, prioritization, and journey mapping; proven ability to drive consensus.
- Structured problem solving and executive storytelling; skilled in creating clear, storyline-driven materials (PowerPoint/Confluence).
- Strong delivery governance discipline: scope control, change management, stage gates, and decision records.
- Requirements management expertise: user stories, acceptance criteria, and traceability in Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Change management and adoption planning: communications, enablement, and measurement of adoption/CSAT.
- Experience supporting estimation and SOW development with bottom-up estimates, assumptions, dependencies, and risk mitigation.
- Deep Salesforce experience across Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud; working knowledge of Data Cloud and Agentforce/AI.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end processes (lead-to-cash, customer service/case management, client success).
- Hands-on advanced configuration knowledge (e.g., Flows, OmniStudio, Assignment Rules, Prompt Builder) and ability to guide development teams on Apex, LWC, APIs.
- Integration and data literacy: data modeling, identity resolution, security/sharing, and common integration patterns (MuleSoft, APIs).
- Familiarity with DevOps and release practices, including branching strategies, CI/CD, Definition of Done, and tools such as Git, Copado, Gearset, Azure DevOps, Jenkins.
- Strong executive presentation skills and comfort leading architecture/design sessions with senior stakeholders.
Education & Work Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years in Salesforce consulting and/or solution architecture, ideally in enterprise or regulated environments.
- Salesforce certifications (at least one required): Application Architect, Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant and/or Data Cloud Consultant
Preferred Skills & Work Experience
- Progress toward System Architect or CTA track strongly preferred.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Familiarity with Salesforce Shield, event monitoring, and security/compliance tooling.
- Knowledge of AI/ML integration patterns (e.g., Agentforce, Einstein, Vertex AI).
- Exposure to industry clouds (e.g., Health Cloud, Financial Services Cloud, Manufacturing Cloud).
