Sales Tax Analyst

Responsibilities:

  • Tax certificate approvals following state compliance policies
  • Tax adjustment approvals following state compliance policies
  • File and pay assigned sales/use tax returns reviewing for accuracy before input
  • Assist on handling and resolving Notices/Assessments as assigned
  • Provide company resale certificates to purchasing, branches or vendors as requested, upon verification of purchase
  • Assist on sales tax reconciliations as assigned
  • Assist on completion of customer form requests on paper and online
  • Assist on sales tax audits
  • Other duties as needed

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, with some college
  • Minimum of 2 years of multi-state sales tax experience
  • Basic accounting knowledge
  • Problem solving skills, internet research, direct resolution with taxing authorities.
  • Demonstrate organizational abilities with attention to detail and professional & written communication skills
  • Basic Microsoft Excel & Word skills
  • 10 key
  • The ability to work independently, and know when to bring problems to management.
