Our client is the world’s leading manufacturer of heating solutions for live animal production facilities. Our client has over 65 years in industry, and also manufactures a full line of natural gas, propane and kerosene fueled heaters for construction, tent and greenhouse markets. Our client, based in Franklin, GA, the leading supplier of evaporative cooling systems and related products for poultry and swine live production facilities. Our client has high market share in all markets we serve, and have been expanding rapidly over the last few years, a trend we expect to continue.

POSITION DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Poultry Technical Sales Specialist will assist in the sale of products. Specific duties of the Sales Specialist will be the following:

  • Be a product and application expert on our products
  • Support the sales duties of all Regional Sales Managers
  • Work with our distributor and builder customers
  •  Make personal visits to contract poultry growers to present products
  • Visit poultry live production facilities as necessary
  • Travel as needed to accomplish the above job duties

The successful candidate will complete an in-depth training program comprised of training, and in the field with our Regional Sales Managers. Career progression possibilities include greater responsibility in technical sales support and/or as a field sales person.

Company will pays for all travel-related expenses and provides a company vehicle, computer and smart phone. Salary is competitive and commensurate with the job duties, and an annual incentive bonus may also be earned.

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION

Ideal candidate profile:

  • Resides in the Southeast, preferably Georgia or Alabama
  • 1 – 3 years’ experience in the poultry industry
  • Strong technical aptitude
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Desire to have a career in Sales or Technical Sales
  • 2-year or 4-year Ag-related degree (not required, but preferred)
  • Ability to travel overnight as needed
  • Strong desire to have a career with a winning team
