Regional Sales Manager

 

Lucas Group is partnered with the leading manufacturer, distributor and service provider of highly engineered customized CNC systems for the plastic technology and processing industry. Our client is the only global company with a full-line product portfolio that includes hot runner systems, injection molding, and extrusion equipment. Our client maintains strong market positions across these products, as well as leading positions in process control systems, mold bases and components, maintenance, repair and operating (“MRO”) supplies for plastic processing equipment. The strategy is to deliver highly customized equipment, components and service to our customers throughout the lifecycle of their plastic processing technology systems.

 

Position Summary:

 

This position ensures that expected revenue and customer satisfaction goals are accomplished in the assigned territory serving the client’s customer base in the plastics injection mold machine industry.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Achievement of the Sales Revenue Plan (In Total, Sales Group, Sales Territory, Focused Product Categories, & By Customer)
  • Ensures the design and execution of effective business plans linked to the overall sales strategy, and that corresponding customer calls are made.
  • Demonstrates a complete understanding of the customer process, from extrusion screw to formal completion of sale.
  • Possesses the required sales skills and knowledge to be successful in their role
  • Actively participates in a sales training and development programs to help their progress in overall success.
  • Reviews the sales performance of assigned territory and primary product group (Injection Mold Machine) to determine the successful performance and determines the root cause and corrective action of issues. Responsible for the execution of all the corrective actions.
  • Routinely travels to visit all assigned accounts, demonstrating the required work ethic, organization, execution of business planning, in-person customer impact, and overall sales skills and competencies. Continuous travel a weekly basis.
  • Develops close relationships with key customers throughout the field sales territory with the ability to present a portfolio of products to eliminate customers overall problems.
  • Works aggressively to close all sales opportunities.
  • Supports the monthly Goal Deployment across sales territory and participates by presenting findings discovered through analytics and assembling those findings into an actionable result.
  • Routinely maintains the company’s CRM / Sales Call Management System & Sales Reporting process
  • Helps to assimilate necessary information towards business plan development inclusive of market sizing, SWOT analysis, market projections, and aftermarket projections

 

Minimum Education and Experience:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business administration or Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology from four-year College or university; or four to five years of experience in Equipment Sales in the Machine Tool or Plastics machine industry with a combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years in an outside B2B field sales role, preferably within a technical, capital equipment or plastics machine industry
  • Experience in the Injection Mold Machine industry.
