Sales and Marketing Manager US

HyperSpectral Imaging Systems

Location: Nationwide major city airport

The Lucas Group is retained by an international Hyperspectral Imaging company. Our client offers high end hyperspectral cameras that are well-proven, robust, compact, high performance, and versatile instruments for a multitude of applications ranging from airborne to laboratory, field and industrial use of imaging spectroscopy.

We are in search for a US Sales Manager, who will promote and sell their solutions and products nationwide. We are looking for someone with the following characteristics:

  • Technical sales background
  • Preferably an instrumentation background or similar
  • Sales experience to research institutions, industrial segments, Oil & Gas, Military segment, Geology, Mining industry or a combination of
  • Value added sales approach
  • Ability to work trade shows
  • Ability to sell to CTO, CIO, Senior Engineers, Director of Technology, and similar type positions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop the customer base within industry, R&D organizations and universities/academic organizations
  • Marketing, including specific US marketing materials, and presence at trade shows/ conferences
  • Build and manage an efficient network of reps. and distributors
  • Industries to focus on are; mining Oil & Gas, defense, agriculture/foresting
  • Build in-depth understanding of client needs, buying criteria, market trends

Profile and background:

  • Established network within our typical customer branches – both the industry as well as R&D institutes and universities
  • Experience from sales & marketing of high-end and technically complex products
  • Experience from sales & marketing in the US, including sales set-up, methodologies and culture
  • Has a systematic and structured approach to customers and sales opportunities, both established contacts and cold sales
  • Will promote openness and cooperation in the client sales team
  • Significant travelling is expected
