Lucas Group is partnering with a growing Oil and Gas organization that is looking to expand their team. They are looking for a Revenue Accountant on a contract-to-hire basis.
Pay: $36-$42/hr.
Responsibilities:
Perform revenue accounting functions related to operated and non-operated oil and gas properties located in Texas.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts, with emphasis on third party receivables and owner payables.
Ensure timely and accurate payment and reporting of state, federal, and tribal taxes and royalties.
Correspond with owner relations, regulatory agencies, land, and marketing departments to ensure proper revenue accounting.
Assist in the preparation of monthly/quarterly close schedules including running reports and compiling data and providing detailed variance explanations.
Assist with other projects as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or similar
3+ years of revenue accounting experience in the oil and gas industry
