Our client is a family owned international manufacturing company with over 1,000 employees and an industry leader in their product categories. We are partnering with them on a Regional Maintenance Manager role to be based out of Brookings, SD with responsibilities for five total locations within South Dakota. We are seeking someone who can oversee equipment & facility maintenance, a preventative maintenance program, as well as leading capital projects for the organization.

Regional Maintenance Manager Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring an efficient and safe manufacturing environment by leading the maintenance and installation of all machinery, tooling, and equipment.
  • The Regional Maintenance Manager will be responsible for creating short and long term CAPEX plans as well as the long-term inventory planning for the department.
  • Manage work orders through the WMS platform.
  • Identify improvement areas within the preventative maintenance program.
  • Work with local Plant Managers and Maintenance Supervisors to establish standards to be followed across multiple sites. This includes training employees on all new processes or equipment.
  • Ensure all health and safety policies are being followed.
  • Manage contractor and service provider relationships.
  • Prioritize work assignments and capital projects that provide the most value to the manufacturing operations.
  • Responsible for maintaining all production equipment, facility systems (HVAC, water, electricity, compressed air, gasses, and sewer) along with the building grounds.

Regional Maintenance Manager Requirements

  • Previous experience leading a Maintenance team is required. Experience in a 24/7 plant or overseeing multiple sites is preferred.
  • A high school degree is required. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are preferred.
  • Previous experience in a heavy manufacturing environment is required. Any experience with CNC Machining, paint booths, or welding is beneficial.
  • Ability to travel to other sites in South Dakota.
