Real Estate Counsel (Houston)
Lucas Group Legal has partnered with a leading national home builder on its search for a Regional Legal Counsel. This attorney will oversee the organization’s real estate transactions throughout the state of Texas and partner with the national legal team on various projects. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience handling real estate transactions either with a large firm or in-house.
The Role:
- Independently draft, manage, negotiate and close real estate transactions
- Establish or improve legal processes and workflow improvement
- Analyze and maintain standard contracts, agreements, and legal documents
- Conduct due diligence for real estate acquisitions and transactions
- Work closely with national legal team
Qualifications:
- JD degree from an accredited law school
- Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Texas
- Must have 5 years of in relevant real estate experience to include purchase and sell of land parcels
- Ability to work independently
- Exceptional time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task multiple projects
- Ability to travel within the state 10-20%
