The Regional Controller will ensure that governance principles with regard to financial management are applied and adequately implemented in the region. This includes compliance with guidelines, Chart of Authority and other procedures in the finance domain. This role, due to the independent nature of the role, also acts as a key contact point for the Finance Director and the Global Controller Group.
Duties:
- Support the Regional Management Team in implementing Strategy and Business plan, executive management and follow-up Regional plans, Goals and Targets.
- Responsible for managing the Dynamic Forecasting Process and target setting process for the region. Is also responsible together with the Regional Manager for the final Reporting of Forecast to executive management
- Play an active role in the commercial processes in the region, including pricing, tender, contract review and the administration of the contract. Also ensure adequate capacity for contract review in the region.
- Actively monitor and analyze management data from the production systems to ensure quality of data and support the local management team to improve performance and processes.
- Responsible for providing data, analyzing the region’s performance, and initiating corrective actions wherever necessary.
- Periodically review operational and financial trends to identify and propose mitigation of potential risks.
- Responsible for the monthly/quarterly reporting and review processes and participate in the Quarterly Business Review Meetings.
- Follow-up with/support the GSS Finance in the Region to ensure timely statutory and other legal compliance related to the legal entities in the Region.
- Frequent Review of Balance sheet items, especially related to Accounts Receivables, Work in Progress, Accrued expenses, and Cash and Bank balances, understand trends and take corrective actions where necessary.
- Regional Controller (RC) monitors and assesses key performance parameters via periodic analysis of the Key Unit Goals, benchmark monitoring, performance indicators, project profitability analysis and internal audits/reviews. If necessary, RC will support countries in implementing best practices, corrective actions and improving processes.
- Provides support to HR in calculations of Sales Incentives.
Background:
- 10+ years of related experience to include managing staff, month end close, and KPI's,
- Degree in accounting or equivalent, MBA and/or CPA strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills: will deal with operations and finance people domestically and internationally
- Oilfield services a strongly preferred.
