Real Estate Litigation Paralegal (Closed)

Litigation Paralegal:

Midtown, Atlanta Law Firm seeks a dynamic litigation paralegal for a fast paced practice. Candidates must possess excellent case management and client communication skills and be detailed oriented in order to assist with moving cases forward in a proactive manner. This position requires handling the following:

1. Client communications – follow up with clients on scheduling, information and case updates;
2. Discovery - managing deadlines; drafting initial responses and requests; processing and managing documents produced and documents received;
3. Managing calendars for attorneys, including scheduling meetings, depositions, mediations;
4. Drafting initial and responsive pleadings for condemnation;
5. Drafting legal documents including notices of appeal, discovery requests and responses, contracts, deeds, etc.
6. Drafting correspondence to opposing counsel, judicial personnel, court personnel, clients, and processing for outgoing mail and documentation of files;
7. Editing and finalizing of all outgoing correspondence, legal forms and documents for accuracy;
8. Interacting and communicating with clients, experts and witnesses on deadlines, meetings, and appearances in matters;
9. Communicating and follow up with government representatives on correspondence, document requests and meetings involving project design, property inspections, appraisals, etc.;
10. Provides litigation support for trial preparation;
11. Managing case files in hard copy and digital document file system.
