We are proud to be partnering with our client, a 30-year-old pipe solutions industry leader on a Quality Manager opening to be in Houston, TX. This is a very important role for our client as they are looking for a polished leader that also enjoys working in a hands-on type environment. This is one of their most important plants in the organization and we are seeking someone who has worked in fast-paced operations covering multiple industries.

 

The Quality Manager is responsible for managing the Quality department activities and ensures that the products manufactured and delivered to customer are meeting the customer requirements, legal compliance and pre-determined quality requirements which were set by the company in line with the international standards. Maintain and improve the Quality Management System to ensure that the entity obtains and maintains proper management certification for all facilities, including, but not limited to API Q1 and ISO 9001. To also ensure that employees, perform their tasks to the standards laid down and to ensure that raw materials used to manufacture the products are tested prior to use, measuring instruments used are calibrated and no item of production is passed QC OK unless it fully meets the specifications and quality standards set.

 

Quality Manager Responsibilities

  • Ensures that all manufacturing procedures including testing & calibration and applicable standards are adhered during the manufacturing process at all times to ensure high quality of product.
  • Ensures the resource requirements of the QC Department are met in order for the smooth performance of the department.
  • Ensures that all QC Engineer, QC Supervisors, Lab Technicians and QC Inspectors are trained and motivated to perform their roles to the levels of excellence set so as to realize quality products.
  • Develop quality system processes, procedures and work instructions.
  • Lead QMS Corrective Action and Preventive Action teams
  • Participate and lead in the internal and external audits
  • Monitor the financial performance of the QC section against budgets so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.

 

Quality Manager Requirements

  • Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology (4 years course)
  • IRCA certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor
  • Minimum experience of 10 years
  • Strong knowledge and experience in fiberglass applications
  • Thorough knowledge in ISO 9001 Quality Management System
  • Raw material & finished product testing experience.
  • Data analysis expertise
  • Internal auditing skills
