We have partnered with our client in their search for a Junior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our engineering team and help ensure our software products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. You'll be involved in defining test strategies, executing manual and automated tests, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our testing processes.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their QA career who wants to develop their skills in test automation, performance testing, and Agile delivery environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to test planning, execution, and automation for new and existing applications.

  • Design and run functional, regression, and performance tests to ensure software reliability.

  • Support identification of performance bottlenecks and work with developers to resolve them.

  • Maintain and enhance automated test suites using industry-standard tools.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate closely with development teams.

  • Report and track defects, ensuring timely resolution and retesting.

Core Tech Stack

  • Testing Tools: Selenium, Cucumber, FitNesse, Mockito

  • Languages: Java (for test scripting), SQL (for data validation)

  • CI/CD: Jenkins, GitHub, Maven (for build and integration)

  • Frameworks: JUnit, TestNG

  • Methodologies: Agile (Scrum, Kanban, XP)

Skills & Experience

  • 2-4 years' experience as a Quality Assurance or Test Engineer.

  • Practical experience with automated testing tools (e.g. Selenium, Cucumber, Mockito).

  • Good understanding of test strategy, test design, and performance testing concepts.

  • Ability to identify, document, and communicate bugs and improvements clearly.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in English.

  • Knowledge of Agile development principles and iterative delivery.

Desirable

  • Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g. JMeter, Gatling).

  • Familiarity with API testing (e.g. Postman, RestAssured).

  • Basic understanding of DevOps and continuous delivery pipelines.

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
