Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated test suites using Java
- Create and execute automated UI tests using Selenium and/or Playwright
- Develop and maintain automated tests covering functional, regression, and integration testing
- Validate end-to-end business workflows across API-driven systems
- Perform automated testing of REST APIs and integrated services
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to define test scenarios and acceptance criteria
- Identify, log, and track defects through to resolution
- Ensure automated tests are executed as part of established CI/CD pipelines
- Support continuous improvement of test coverage, quality, and reliability
- Work within a cloud-hosted application environment (Azure preferred)
Skills Required
- 4-5+ years' experience in QA Automation roles
- Strong experience using Java for test automation
- Hands-on experience with Selenium and/or Playwright
- Experience testing enterprise-scale applications
- Solid understanding of REST APIs and integration testing
- Experience working with CI/CD tools (e.g. Git, Jenkins)
- Experience testing within Financial Services or other regulated environments
- Good understanding of SDLC and QA best practices
Desirable Experience
- Experience supporting legacy system modernisation programmes
- Exposure to wealth management, retail banking, or investment platforms
- Experience testing applications hosted in cloud environments (Azure preferred)
- Familiarity with common test automation frameworks and patterns.
