We have partnered with our client in their search for multiple Data Engineers in NYC for contract to hire roles.
Responsibilities:
- Experience building Data Pipelines using Python.
- Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
- Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
- Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
- Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
- Adds to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Skills Required:
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Solid experience with AWS cloud services, including:
- S3, Glue, IAM, KMS
- Lambda, SNS, SQS
- Step Functions, EventBridge
- API Gateway, Load Balancers
- Aurora DB
- CloudWatch
- Experience designing and developing microservices architectures
- Strong understanding of serverless and event-driven systems
- Experience with Databricks and large-scale data processing
- Hands-on experience with logging, monitoring, and observability tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, etc.)
- Strong understanding of data lake concepts and experience working with Snowflake is a good to have.
Education & Work Experience:
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with over 3+ years of applied experience.
- Bachelor's Degree
