Role Overview
Lucas Group has partnered with a global network of experts providing integrated design, engineering, construction and professional services to find Project Engineers for multiple, nationwide locations.
You will provide engineering expertise and guidance to Designers / Design Engineers, making sure that the mechanical portion of the project is technically sound, on schedule and within cost.
Responsibilities
- Develop innovative solutions to customer packaging challenges
- Maintain knowledge of packaging equipment and innovations
- Insure complete and accurate design analysis/calculations
- Analyze proposed and potential systems to present Value Engineering options to facility owner for their consideration
- Insure complete and accurate specifications for packaging materials and equipment
- Develop line layouts
- Develop and implement project design standards
- Direct construction crews & service technicians
- Work with automation engineers to establish sequence of operation & control system architecture
- Coordinate Project Teams
Qualifications
- Engineering Degree from ABET Accredited 4-year program
- 4-10 years’ experience in packaging and production systems and/or automated manufacturing systems preferred
- Experience in the food, pharmaceutical, beverage or consumer products industries preferred
- Computer literate (required)
- Computer aided design (CAD) desirable
- Professional registration preferred
