Project Cost Accountant (Closed)

DESCRIPTION

Our well known Houston construction company is seeking a strong Project Cost Accountant.  This position will be responsible for all accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing and job cost functions for specific projects.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Invoice coding and data entry
• Subcontractor billing and processing
• Subcontract Document Control-lien releases, W-9’s, and insurance certificates
• Process new vendor applications
• Check issuance
• Draw requests to Owner
• Collections

• SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • - Detail-oriented
  • - Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • - Proven ability to meet deadlines
  • - Ability to manage multiple projects
  • - Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, Word and other Office applications
  • - Minimum of 2 years recent cost experience in Accounting or a similar role with a General Contractor or Subcontractor
• EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent
