Programme Manager - ServiceNow SPM

A leading UK organisation is undertaking a major realignment of its core financial processes and is seeking an experienced Programme Manager with strong expertise in the ServiceNow SPM (Strategic Portfolio Management) module. This is a high-impact interim position where you will shape, define, and drive the programme that will mature the organisation's financial processes across IT.

You will work closely with Finance, Technology, and Transformation stakeholders to assess current maturity, define future-state design, and ensure both short‑term improvements and long‑term automation opportunities are identified and embedded.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end‑to‑end programme to realign and modernise core financial processes.
  • Work across Finance and IT to define process design, maturity models, and actionable improvement pathways.
  • Leverage the ServiceNow SPM module to support effective planning, prioritisation, and portfolio visibility.
  • Translate business requirements into clear design principles and future operating models.
  • Identify short-term tactical improvements while building a roadmap for long‑term automation and optimisation.
  • Provide governance, reporting, and stakeholder management across all programme workstreams.
  • Ensure integration of improved financial processes into IT and wider business change initiatives.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven track record as a Programme Manager delivering complex transformation programmes within large UK organisations.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with ServiceNow SPM (Strategic Portfolio Management), including demand, portfolio, resource, and financial planning capabilities.
  • Experience realigning or redesigning financial processes in collaboration with Finance and Technology functions.
  • Ability to define operating models, process designs, and maturity assessments.
  • Strong understanding of automation opportunities within financial and IT processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence senior leaders.
  • Experience delivering in fast-paced, large-scale, multi-stakeholder environments.
