Scope of Responsibilities:
- Supervise and promote practices and processes
- Take ownership and demonstrate leadership necessary to achieve goals
- Lead by example
- Fair and equal treatment of all employees
- Schedule product priorities, equipment, workstations and staff to efficiently meet production goals on time
- Track KPI’s
- Solicit assistance from other departments and management as necessary to achieve productivity goals and targets
- Enter production and employee data into computer systems.
- Audit the floor
- Inspect product and sign quality control check sheets
- Continuously monitor employee performance and conduct performance evaluations to include wage reviews of employees.
- Understand, support and follow management expectations in alignment with company values.
- Supervise, cross-train and direct the work of others
- Responsible for employee onboarding, coaching/counseling, development, discipline, performance appraisals, administration of policies and assignment of breaks, lunches, and other relief periods
- Make recommendations regarding staffing decisions
- Conduct or participate in the interview process with new candidates.
- Ability to be on-call 24/7 and work weekends
- Work is split between an office environment, production facility, and/or warehouse
- Exposure to extreme heat, loud noise, dirt, dust, odors, and fumes is probable
- Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in required areas
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license
Skills Needed:
- Microsoft Office
- Interpersonal skills (accessible & approachable)
- SAP experience
- Lean manufacturing
Educational & Work Requirements:
- Degree: High School Diploma or GED
- Work Experience: 2+ years supervisory experience; 3+ years production environment experience
