Position Overview
The Product Portfolio Manager will support the Fulfillment & Archive Services (FAS) organization, one of the largest and most technically complex product groups within Consumer & Community Banking. This role is responsible for managing incoming dependency requests, gathering business requirements, coordinating with technical teams, facilitating estimates and prioritization discussions, and helping maintain product backlogs across a diverse portfolio of applications.
The ideal candidate combines portfolio management, project coordination, Agile delivery experience, and strong stakeholder management skills. While not a hands-on technical role, candidates with technical backgrounds tend to be more successful due to the complexity of the systems and discussions involved.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio & Dependency Management
- Manage intake and triage of dependency requests across multiple business areas.
- Facilitate requirement gathering sessions with business stakeholders.
- Coordinate with technical product teams to obtain high-level estimates and timelines.
- Assess incoming work and determine impacts across supported applications.
- Track work through intake, estimation, prioritization, and backlog placement.
Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients and technical teams.
- Conduct initial discovery and meet-and-greet sessions with business partners.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Asset & Wealth Management, Commercial Banking, Corporate functions, HR, and other business units.
- Support quarterly prioritization discussions and backlog planning.
Agile & Delivery Support
- Operate within an Agile environment using Jira.
- Support backlog management activities.
- Collaborate with product owners, technology teams, and portfolio partners.
- Help align capacity planning with incoming demand.
Communication & Coordination
- Communicate priorities, dependencies, risks, and timelines.
- Escalate issues when appropriate.
- Support a fast-paced, high-volume environment with multiple competing priorities.
- Translate business requests into actionable items for technical teams.
