We have partnered with our client in their search for a Product Manager contract to potential hire opportunity in Jersey City, NJ.
Responsibilities
- IEMS is a non-scalable, siloed, legacy registration tool handling ~85% of global internal events (all 23 corporate locations, all countries/regions; ~50k events/year, up to 200k sessions, 2.2M registration requests).
- Goal: Centralize fragmented event management (in-house tools, third parties, SurveyMonkey, Outlook, etc.) into one modern system with a single data lake. Capture event data (costs, attendees, funding, locations), eliminate breaks/reconciliations that lag 6+ months, and create seamless end-to-end experiences for event planners/coordinators.
- Integrate amenity systems, catering, AV, Zoom, client/conference centers, HR platforms, and related tools via agentic layers and MCP-style models so users stay in one flow.
Skills Required
- Senior level operator who has consolidated services/systems for a specific persona (event planners, coordinators, execution staff) and can drive prioritization and hard MVP trade-offs.
- Strong collaboration across teams they don't own; comfortable presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Execution-focused (not pure program manager): story writing, backlog grooming, production support, roadmap ownership, and accountability of tech and stakeholders. Ability to take direction and run independently.
- Comfortable with high-touch, high-demand work (occasional longer hours). Not afraid of details or asking "why" / pushing problem statements and global solutions.
- AI tooling experience is a plus (they're already using GitHub + Claude for UX/UI prototyping and replacing Figma-style work). Events background helpful but not required. Architectural/product design background useful for systems and experience design.
Education & Work Experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- 7+ years of work experience
