Lucas Group has partnered with our client, a full-service supplier of surgical implants, surgical instruments and delivery systems, on their search for a Product Engineer in Ft Wayne IN. What You Will Do:

• Develop, establish and maintains engineering methods and systems. Serve as an engineering representative to provide support for new product transfers through volume production internally, at suppliers and at customer locations
• Communicate initiatives to support departmental, plant and corporate operational goals
• Work with representatives from customer service, manufacturing, quality assurance, scheduling, and purchasing in developing and coordinating new project development, sustaining products, suppliers, and internal operations
• Coordinate pre-production meetings with customers
• Act as project manager for new projects to ensure quality and on time delivery
• Support quality, operations, and purchasing groups; Continuous Improvements in all areas of the facility
• Perform design for Manufacturing/Cost/Quality
• Technically support customer to eliminate costs and maximize delivery of product.

Educational & Work Requirements:

• 4 Year Degree or equivalent experience required
