Scope of Responsibilities:
Works to create machine software to safely operate the machine to meet customer requirements both in-house and at customers sites. Assists in the commissioning of machines and systems and responds to customer’s service needs. Cross-disciplinary work is required with all trades, external companies, suppliers, and manufacturers. Diagnoses causes of malfunctions or failures and advises and helps implement corrective actions.
- Independent creation of the machine and system software
- Programming & parameterization of drive controllers and hydraulic controllers
- Troubleshoot and solve any issues related to the equipment’s software
Education and Work Requirements:
- Completed training in electronics or mechatronics
- Knowledge of PLC and HMI programming (S7, TIA Portal, or comparable)
- Practical experience with pneumatic and hydraulic actuators
- 2+ years of previous machining and/or programming experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Willingness to travel locally, nationally, and/or internationally
- Basic degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, & internet applications
- Ability to work overtime as necessary
