Our client, a well-oiled manufacturing organization in
Northwest Houston, seeks a Cost Controller with standard cost experience.  This organization is growing, and they expect that growth opportunity will exist for those they hire.  Additionally, they have 20 employees in their current Accounting & Finance group with very low turnover and 5-weeks’ of paid time off. 

The Plant Controller will provide accurate and useful financial manufacturing reports used for decision making with the ability to support requests for detailed analysis.

Plant Controller Responsibilities Include:

• Plan and direct the implementation of cost control methods and cost accounting activities
• Variance analysis
• Semi-annual physical inventory
• Gather, analyze, and prepare financial information monthly, quarterly and yearly
• Prepare monthly forecasts
• Review and establish procedures to improve efficiency
• Forecasting and budgeting
• Establish labor and overhead standards.

Plant Controller Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• 5+ years standard cost accounting
• 2+ years of supervisory experience
