Contract Length: 3 Months
We are seeking an experienced Performance Test Engineer to join a high-profile project focused on a modern web platform. This is a hands-on contract role where you'll be responsible for defining the performance testing strategy and delivering end-to-end performance testing across a microservices-based environment.
Working closely with engineering, architecture, and QA teams, you'll ensure the platform is scalable, reliable, and performs effectively under varying levels of demand.
Define and implement the overall performance testing strategy for a web-based platform.
Design, develop, and execute performance, load, stress, endurance, and capacity tests.
Create and maintain performance test scripts using JMeter or similar performance testing tools.
Analyse test results and identify performance bottlenecks across applications and services.
Work with development and DevOps teams to investigate and resolve performance issues.
Test distributed systems and microservices-based applications to ensure scalability and resilience.
Produce clear reports, recommendations, and performance metrics for technical and business stakeholders.
Contribute to continuous improvement of performance testing processes and best practices.
Proven experience as a Performance Test Engineer, Performance Tester, or similar role.
Strong experience developing performance testing strategies and frameworks.
Hands-on experience testing modern web applications or web platforms.
Experience working with microservices architectures and API-based applications.
Proficiency with JMeter or other performance testing tools such as LoadRunner, Gatling, NeoLoad, or k6.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across technical teams.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana, AppDynamics, or Prometheus.
Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
