Onsite in Long Beach, CA

We are partnering with a high growth organization that is expanding rapidly and investing in its People Operations function. The company has hired hundreds of employees within the past year and is continuing to scale, creating an immediate need for additional People Ops support.

This People Operations Specialist role is a hands on opportunity to support the full employee lifecycle, with a strong focus on onboarding, background checks, and offboarding. The position is onsite in Long Beach, CA and is a minimum 6 months contract with strong potential to convert.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end to end onboarding after handoff from Talent Acquisition
• Manage background check processes, including Assurant
• Facilitate first day orientation and ensure system access and documentation are completed
• Handle terminations and offboarding steps, ensuring compliance and accuracy
• Support day to day People Ops requests and Jira tickets
• Partner with People Business Partners on ongoing operational tasks and projects
• Help improve, document, and scale People Ops processes in a fast paced environment

Must Haves

• People Operations or HR Generalist experience
• Strong onboarding and background check experience
• Experience with Assurant and BGC processes
• Experience managing terminations and offboarding
• Strong project management and organizational skills

Nice to Have

• Workday experience
• Jira or ticketing system experience
