We are in search of a Payroll Processing Manager for a $200M private company, provides critical support services to corporations and government entities in the areas of food, security, environmental, facilities, administration, information technology, telecommunications, and warehousing/shipping. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the continuity, accuracy and successful processing of payroll, time accrual and employee benefits, for 600-800 employees across multiples sites and states. This position will sit at the company’s headquarters in the Brentwood neighborhood in Los Angeles.
Responsibilities:
- Manages and processes payroll through ADP
- Process payroll data such as employee timecards and absences from ADP, prepare expense reimbursements, additional earnings, and other deductions to be withheld
- Research any pay related errors, Issue and record adjustments to pay related to previous errors or retroactive increases
- Keep informed about changes in tax and deduction laws that apply to the payroll process, ensuring compliance with prevailing wage laws
- Provide guidance on payroll matters, tax issues, benefit plans, and collective agreement provisions
- Provide guidance in certified payroll reporting
- Manage a team of up to 2 direct reports
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Requirements:
- 7+ Years of Payroll Experience
- CPP certification preferred
- Experience with ADP payroll software required, ADP Vantage preferred
- Experience working with prevailing wage rates and certified payroll requirements is preferred
- Knowledge of principles and procedures for payroll and compensation and benefits
- Excellent and proven customer service skills with employees of the company
- Excellent and proven communications skills both verbal and written
