We've been engaged by a Houston Area client to identify a Payroll Manager. This position will lead a small team and oversee payroll processes for more than 5,000 employees weekly. This organization offers strong benefits offering and opportunity to join an established and stable company.
Some responsibilities include:
- Lead the Payroll team to oversee complex full-cycle payroll process
- Lead process improvement initiatives
- Oversee reporting processes to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Manage/Develop staff to provide high level of service; promote efficiency by cross training
- Works closely with Accounting, HR and Benefits
- Serve as backup to other Payroll Roles as necessary
- Assists with audit activities
Requirements:
- Associates Degree required, Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- CPP is highly preferred
- 5+ years of high volume, multi-state payroll experience which must include 3+ years in a supervisory role
- Spanish is a plus
