Requirements:
- 8+ years of multi-state payroll processing experience
- Experience working with ADP Workforce Now
- Intermediate Excel skills
- CPP certification a plus
Responsibilities include:
- Maintains all payroll information in ADP Workforce Now
- 401(k) audit administration liaison with provider
- Updates payroll records by reviewing and/or approving changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, 401(k), deductions, job titles, and payroll changes within the company
- Prepares and audits reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, and nontaxable wages
- Audits payroll liabilities by approving Workforce Now calculations of employee federal and state income and social security taxes, and employer's social security and unemployment
- Balances the payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepancies
- Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests
- Maintains payroll guidelines by writing and updating procedures
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
- Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
- Completes operational requirements; following up on work results
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Creates and runs scheduled and ad-hoc reports for various departments
