We have partnered with a client in West Houston in their search for a Payroll Analyst. This is a contract engagement that is expected to be at least 6 months in duration, with potential to extend. This position will work 100% in office during the first month for training, then will have the ability to work 1 day a week remotely and on a 9/80 work schedule.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the payroll garnishment operation and related activities
- Ensure wage garnishments are accurately and timely recorded into SAP and withheld from employees' pay for remittance to proper authorities
- Ensure that employee Sick Leave and Family Medical Leave are accurately and timely recorded into SAP for all salaried and non-exempt employees, and ensure payroll processes use the data correctly
- Administer payments to third parties for payroll related deductions
- Provide needed support on front end payroll processes and entries
Skills Required
- Demonstrated knowledge of full cycle payroll and garnishment processing
- CPP preferred
- Experience with FMLA and administering sick leave pay
- Ability to read and interpret legal documents accurately
- Solid understanding and ability to research garnishment, payroll, and payroll tax laws
- Knowledge of payroll and accounting principals with ability to complete account reconciliations

- Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance
- 3+ years of Payroll experience
