I am currently looking for a Project Manager with a strong background in core banking systems (ideally Flexcube) and payments (SWIFT, CHAPS, SEPA) to join our dynamic and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering end-to-end projects across the bank's technology and operations landscape, with a particular focus on payments and core banking enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage full lifecycle delivery of projects, from initiation to implementation and post-go-live support.
- Drive implementation and upgrade initiatives related to Oracle Flexcube and associated systems.
- Manage projects related to payments systems - including SWIFT, CHAPS, SEPA, Faster Payments, and other payment schemes.
- Work closely with business users, technology teams, and vendors to define requirements, scope, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate testing, migration, and integration activities across systems and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain project documentation - including plans, risk logs, and status reports.
Skills & Experience Required
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager within banking or financial services.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Flexcube (implementation, upgrade, or integration projects).
- Strong understanding of payments systems and processes - SWIFT, CHAPS, SEPA (FPS, BACS desirable).
- Proven ability to work in smaller financial institutions or challenger banks - comfortable with lean structures and direct stakeholder engagement.
- Solid understanding of core banking operations, settlement, and reconciliation processes.
This is an initial 6 month engagement working hybrid in London for a private bank (3 days on site,2 remote) paying £600/day via Umbrella.
