Business Analyst - Real Time Payments / Fraud Prevention / Financial Crime

We are currently seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a major payments and financial crime transformation programme within a fast-paced banking/payments environment.

This role will focus on real-time payments, fraud prevention, transaction monitoring, and sanctions screening, working closely with both business and technology stakeholders across high-profile payment initiatives.

Key Experience Required:

  • Strong Business Analyst experience within payments or banking

  • Experience working with Fiserv platforms and payment systems

  • Strong understanding of real-time / instant payments

  • Experience with Featurespace or similar fraud detection and transaction monitoring platforms

  • Knowledge of fraud workflows and payment decisioning processes

  • Experience across sanctions screening, PEPs, and AML processes

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Ability to work across business, operations, compliance, and technology teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and document business and functional requirements

  • Work closely with fraud, compliance, payments, and technology teams

  • Support enhancements to payment monitoring and fraud detection capabilities

  • Analyse payment flows and transaction screening processes

  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings

  • Support delivery across real-time payments and financial crime initiatives

Ideal Background:

  • Banking, fintech, or payments sector experience

  • Experience working on fraud, AML, or financial crime programmes

  • Strong understanding of payment ecosystems and transaction monitoring

This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile programme delivering critical payment and fraud prevention initiatives.

This is an initial 6 month engagement working hybrid in Lodnon (3 days on site, 2 remote) paying £500/day Outside IR35.
